CarryOrigin is a Shenzhen-based supply chain practice — people who spent their careers inside the luggage houses that defined this category, in development, production oversight, quality, compliance and after-sales.
Where our team came from
Not trading-company account managers. Over three decades, the people who run your programme have held senior roles on both sides of the table — at the brands, and inside the factories that make for them — covering design, development, manufacturing, quality, compliance, logistics and after-sales. Where those roles were held:
Nothing above is a client reference. The brands our team has served are not clients or endorsements of CarryOrigin: none of them have reviewed, approved or endorsed us, and we do not use their logos or marks. Their names are not published anywhere on this site — on a call we will tell you exactly which companies, and which roles, sit behind each person on your programme.
Collective team background across the functions a luggage programme touches.
Structural design, tech packs, tooling and the trade-offs between what looks right and what survives a production line.
Hardshell and softside construction, trolley systems, assembly line setup, capacity and yield management.
AQL-based inspection, root cause analysis, social audit preparation and retailer compliance programmes.
Freight, customs, warranty handling and the feedback loop that makes the next run better than the last.
Owner communities are remarkably consistent about what fails on a suitcase: wheels, trolley handle, zippers, cracked shells — and a warranty process that does not work on the day somebody needs it. That is where we concentrate inspection effort, because those are the failures that produce your returns, your one-star reviews and your warranty bill.
The most reported failure point by a wide margin. Housing integrity, axle retention, bearing quality and the drop-and-roll testing that separates a real specification from a sales claim.
Jamming, wobble and tube fracture. Push-pull cycle testing, tube wall thickness, and the tolerance stack that decides whether a handle still works in year three.
Slider and tape failure, plus the security question buyers actually ask. Chain gauge, slider pull strength, and whether the lock resists what the listing claims it resists.
Cracking and scuffing, especially on ABS-class hardshells. Material grade verification, wall thickness, and abrasion testing that predicts how a case looks after one trip.
We are deliberately small. Every programme is run by people who have done this work themselves — because in this industry the difference between a good outcome and an expensive one is usually one question somebody forgot to ask.
CarryOrigin
We are a focused practice, not a marketplace. That means fewer clients, more attention, and a commercial model that only works if your programme succeeds.
The factory contract, the tooling and your IP remain yours. We are not structurally able to hold your supply chain hostage.
If a project is not a good fit, the most valuable thing we can do is tell you early rather than bill you for a struggle.
Our compensation is on the table, agreed before work starts, and visible on every order.
No sales team, no handoff after the call. The person you speak to is the person on your programme.
